Girl, <3 you too, and I especially appreciate your perspective, since you've been close to somebody who's been there, done that. While I never doubt that I'll be fine, I'm semi-secretly like, "UGH. REALLY?" about 90% of this crap still.

It might not be forever. Your cardiologist might decide that you’re a good transplant candiate, and then you’ll only have ONE More scar to get rid of the ICD and slacker heart to get a shiny CARMAX-certified used-but-awesome one (which yes, comes with its own terrifying what-ifs….)

You are amazing and an awesome fighter. And you’re allowed to be scared and cry. Because you are awesome and you have a fabulous support system to help you when you feel not-so-awesome.

Also – they have tuba holders for tiny humans stuck on the tuba. Look into seeing if there's a horn holder?
