The earlier we begin the Christmas trappings, the less we appreciate them. There are houses on my street who have had their Christmas lights up for 2 weeks or more BEFORE Thanksgiving. Maybe they don’t celebrate Thanksgiving, but I consider it an important holiday–especially the “thanks” and the “giving” parts. But except for a few decorations (maybe) and a huge meal, it doesn’t amount to much to a lot of people. For me, it means family.

Oh, and also, I want to shoot people whose Christmas trees are out with the garbage on Dec. 26th. Truly I do.

Something to do with being trapped in the great white north where it looks like the North Pole so you have to celebrate Christmas early to appease the evil snow gods? No seriously. What?
